Here are some questions for this reading:

(Answer or think about 1 or 2 of these ... or all of them. This isn't homework!)

1. In v. 5, we learn that God gives wisdom - generously - to those who ask. Do we sometimes forget or refuse to do this in certain situations? Why?

2. What does the word "perseverance" mean? What do we learn about perseverance in this chapter?

3. Does God tempt his kids? (See v. 13)

4. On a page or in a design app, write out 1:17. Take a good minute or two to consider this verse, and write down those thoughts.

5. "... Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry" (1:19). How many times have we messed this up?? Thankfully, we are forgiven. How can you remind yourself to be a quick listener?

6. What image does James use in 1:22-24? Wouldn't it be a tragedy to know many things about the Bible but not live it out?

See you tomorrow on the blog!

May God guide you as your study his word.
