Bible Study Tips

Updated: Mar 30, 2020

Hello Friends,

Here are some suggestions as we study, just in case you get stuck.

1. Read the chapter slowly and carefully. Sometimes reading a 2nd or a 3rd time, or reading out loud, can help you make more connections.

2. Underline/highlight (or write elsewhere) the things that really make an impression on you, especially encouraging bits that you want to remember.

3. Make note of anything that is a bit fuzzy or unclear, or if there is an idea that you want to revisit or discuss. No one will understand - much less apply - everything. So it's cool to say "I don't know."

4. If you can, write a sentence in your own words which seems to capture the main point(s) of what you read.

5. Pray and think creatively about how you can live-out the things you read. Maybe God is inviting you to something?

Happy reading!
